‘Convert XLS’ is a simple to use, yet sophisticated file conversion utility specifically designed for MS Excel, text, html/xml and comma (or any other character) delimited (CSV) files. If you need to convert one or thousands of files, located in one or many different folders, into a variety of different file types this is the tool. Or if you need to manipulate Excel data, 'Convert XLS' comes with numerous specialized processes including:
· Copy Specific Sheet Data from one worksheet to another within the same or a different workbook.
· Append/Concatenate specified data of a named sheet from a whole folder of workbooks to a single sheet
· Copy an entire worksheet (including formatting) to the same or different workbook, and specify location within the workbook
· Change the Value or Formula of a Cell or a Range of Cells
· Delete a single or whole range of sheets within a workbook. Clear contents within a Worksheet. Delete all empty sheets within workbook.
· Add a new sheet and specify where to place the new sheet
· Move a sheet to a specific place within a workbook
· Rename an existing sheet
· Convert Fixed Width Text Files to/from Excel or CSV files
· Print a worksheet(s) of one or more Workbooks.
· Run a Macro within a workbook
· Import tables from doc, html, xml, rtf, wpd etc into a XLS worksheet(s)/workbook(s)
· Much, much more
'Convert XLS' can be especially useful if you require complicated conversion jobs done on a regular basis. By saving and recalling a conversion job file, 'Convert XLS' quickly remembers all the conversion tasks and their details. The conversion job can be used with the built in scheduler. Also, 'Convert XLS' may be run from the command line (COM/ActiveX also) allowing for use in batch files or from within other programs.
Excel, Text, CSV, and xml/html are just a few of the formats you may convert your files to and from. In addition to doing file conversion, 'Convert XLS' also has features to further enhance its usefulness. For example it has a built in scheduler and can do many conversion tasks without the need of MS Excel. In fact it can do some conversions 20 times faster than MS Excel can do.
In addition to the worksheet manipulation many special processes for text, RTF, DOC, HTML and CSV files have been added including:
