Need to change or remove the passwords of an Excel workbook? If yes, this is the special process you’ve been looking for. If you simply need to specify how to open an Excel workbook for doing other special processes or conversions, see the Program Options section.
Follow these steps to change the passwords:
1. Select the special process “[111] (*.XLS) Change Password of XLS File” from the Special Process drop down list. The file format is automatically set as *.XLS.
2. Next select the input and output files. If the output file is the same as the input file, the data on the passwords on the input file will be changed. If the output file doesn’t exist, ‘Convert XLS’ will create it, with the desired changes made to the specified workbook.
Click the Click Here for Change Password Details button to enter in the Input and Output Passwords for both opening and writing to the workbook.

NOTE: You can remove passwords by leaving the Output File entries blank.
3. Optionally click the Add button to add the task to the Conversion Task list. You may add multiple tasks to the Conversion Task list before initiating the conversion process by repeating Steps 1 - 3 as necessary.
4. Click the Convert button to execute the process.
