Conversion Methods

There are three different conversion methods available:

Select the one that matches the input file type you are going to use. When you change the input file type,CD may be able to select for you and will do so if appropriate. Use the table below as a guide.

Convert Doc method is great for fast file conversions. MS Word is not required to convert Word files when using the Convert Doc method.

MS Word conversion offers a broader range of file formats than the Convert Doc method. The MS Word method can handle any file format MS Word can open and "save as". To see a comprehensive list of file types in CD's user interface, select [?] OTHER CONVERSION TYPES from the Convert to File Format dropdown list.

PDF File conversion is for converting from a PDF to a different file type (RTF/DOC, TXT, or HTML).

MS Word Any file that MS Word can open. This includes DOCX, DOC, TXT, HTML, DOC, RTF, Wordperfect etc. Any file type MS Word can save as. Select "OTHER CONVERSION TYPES" to see all possible values.
PDF File Conversion PDF RTF/DOC (Rich Text File), DOCX, Text, and HTML
