Conversion Methods

There are currently three different conversion methods available:

A)   Convert Doc

B)   MS Word

C)   PDF File Conversion

The one you choose depends specifically on the input file type you are going to be specifying. Use the table below as a guide.

Convert Doc method is great for fast file conversions. Note that no installation of MS Word is required to convert Word files when using the Convert Doc method.

MS Word conversion offers a broader range of file formats which may not be available in the Convert Doc method. MS Word conversion can handle any file format MS Word can open and “save as”. To see a comprehensive list of file types within the programs user interface, select the "[?] OTHER CONVERSION TYPES" from the Convert to File Format drop down list box.

PDF File conversion should be chosen if you are converting from a PDF to a different file type (RTF/DOC, TXT, or HTML).

Convert Doc

DOC, DOCX, TEXT, UNICODE TEXT, RTF, HTML

PDF, PDF/A-1b DOC, DOCX, HTML, RTF, TEXT, UNICODE TEXT

MS Word

Any file that MS Word can open. This includes DOCX, DOC, TXT, HTML, DOC, RTF, Wordperfect etc.

Any file type MS Word can save as. Select "OTHER CONVERSION TYPES" to see all possible values.

PDF File Conversion

PDF

RTF/DOC (Rich Text File), DOCX, Text, and HTML
